Who We Are

Shared Responsibility operates under the simple but steadfast belief that if cocaine consumers were made aware of the atrocious ways in which their drug money is put to use in Colombia, they would not only rethink their cocaine habit but actively support the eradication of coca crops from Colombia.

Our mission is twofold:

1)Create global awareness about the environmental devastation caused by coca cultivation in Colombia.
2)Forge international alliances against illegal drugs, because the main weapon against drugs is cooperation between nations.

Shared Responsibility is not about sharing blame; it’s about sharing the responsibility for finding solutions.

Colombia is the most biodiverse country per square kilometer in the world. In twenty years, 2.2 million hectares of Colombian tropical forest have been cut down to grow coca.
